U.S. Route 287[II], is a north-south US highway. It gives out as the main truck route among the Texas cities of Fort Worth & Amarillo. The highway is dividing into 2 segments by Yellowstone National Park, where an unnumbered park road serves as a connector.
The highway's northern end is in Choteau, Montana, 100 miles south of the Canadian border, at a junction with U.S. Route 89. Its southern end is in Port Arthur, Texas at a connection with State Highway 87, 5 miles up the Sabine River from the Gulf of Mexico.
